Taproom Re-Opening!

When are we reopening our Taproom, you may be thinking?

We’ve had our thinking caps on and formulated a plan to reopen this Saturday, 4th July, keeping everyone safe and socially distanced to at least 2m.

The biggest change you’ll notice is that all our seating will be outside, spread out over our sheltered beer yard. Indoor access for the loo will be on a one-in, one-out basis, with toilets cleaned at regular intervals throughout the day.

We'll be working on a bookings only basis to begin with, with 1 hour 45 min slots (giving us time to properly clean each table between bookings). We’ll be open 12-8pm, with last orders at 7:30pm. Book your table by emailing info@alphabetbrewing.co.uk.

To save you queuing at a bar we’ll be asking you to place your order via WhatsApp to a number we’ll put on our menu - we’ll message you back when your beer is ready to collect from the collection point and you’ll be able to pay via contactless. Just a reminder that we are a CASHLESS venue.

We won’t be coming up to tables whilst they are occupied - we’ll be leaving general waste and recycling bins in convenient places around the yard, so if you could pop your rubbish and cups in these whilst you’re here and on you way out, that would be extremely helpful. Vertical drinking rules apply so we'll need you to stay in your seats whilst you're sipping on your Charlie Don't Surf.

We'll be bring street food back later this year. So for now we have plenty of bars snacks and you're welcome to BYOF or order a takeaway to the taproom.

Staff will be wearing gloves and face masks all day, and using hand sanitiser before and after every transaction.

Beer will be poured into eco-friendly, biodegradable cups in 2/3, 1/2 and 1/3 pint measures. If you’d prefer to drink out of a glass, we’ll be selling our new glassware (more on that soon) which we can fill with beer and you can take home after.

We can’t wait to see your families and dogs, but to begin with we’ll be working on an 18+ only and no pet policy.

We won’t be starting brewery tours straight away - we’ll be contacting everyone who has bought a ticket in the next couple of weeks with available slots for later in the summer and beyond.

Sorry to bore you with all the rules, but we think we’ve worked out a way that we can open, everyone can have fun, and everyone can stay safe.

We’re so excited to see our customers, whether you’ve been coming here almost every week for years (Ronnie, if you see this, we miss you!), or you’ve fallen in love with us over lockdown and want to enjoy some brewery-fresh Alphabet beer!

We are just a five minute walk away from Manchester Piccadilly train station.
